Assessment Assistant (PT)
The primary responsibility of this position is to assist students and community members in the testing process in a professional and confidential manner. This includes test administration, scoring and reporting of test results. Additional responsibilities include the general office duties of maintaining student records, photocopying, filing and serving as a back-up for answering phones.
This position reports to the Testing Services Department Manager at the Sugar Grove campus and the Testing Services Department Coordinator at the Aurora Downtown Campus.
Check-in examinees by the verification of student information and testing registration.
Schedule testing appointments for walk-in customers as needed.
Administer exams including the distribution of testing instructions, timing of examinations and activation of testing software, as appropriate.
Maintain a secure and safe testing environment, to include locking of files, key drawers and office doors, shutting down of computer workstations and in general, maintaining the cleanliness of testing center.
Ensure testing integrity by monitoring the use of notes, calculators, books and other materials in the testing room.
Verify answer sheets and forms are complete upon return from student and collect all scrap paper and notes.
Monitor testing room to ensure that computers are working appropriately and students are following testing guidelines.
Serve as proctor for external testing programs as needed.
Respect and up hold client confidentiality.
Work as part of a cohesive team to maintain an efficient office.
Attend monthly staff meetings, workshops and in-service activities as appropriate.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum one year of general office experience to include maintaining records, filing, photocopying and answering phones required.
Excellent computer skills, including experience in working in a networked environment.
Good customer service, organization and communication skills.
Ability to work evenings and occasional Saturdays.
