Postdoctoral Fellow Positions

Two full-time postdoctoral fellow positions are immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Manisha Patel. The research involves the study of mitochondrial bioenergetics in neuronal excitability in a highly collaborative environment with state-of-the-art facilities. The laboratory uses cell, rodent and zebrafish models to conduct mechanistic studies on the role of metabolism in epilepsy and identify therapies.


Minimum Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in neuroscience, bioenergetics, mitochondrial physiology, pharmacology, molecular biology or a closely related field and experience with biochemical and molecular techniques is required. Prior experience in HPLC methods, animal handling, zebrafish research, bioenergetics and metabolism is highly desirable.
