Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

As Benefits Manager for the University of South Carolina, this position oversees the administration of pension, insurance and other supplemental benefits programs. The office also has responsibility for the administration of leave programs and workers's compensation.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Bachelor's degree and 4 years experience in human resources management programs.
Must be proficient in excel. Must have experience in administering state benefit programs.

Preferred Qualifications

Supervisory experience is preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in written form. High proficiency in excel and access data bases Considerable knowledge of state related policies and procedures. Must be familiar with state and federal laws that affect benefits.
