Position Summary:

The Campus Dean is responsible for the overall performance and operations of the campus he or she oversees. Academic and administrative excellence, growth and financial leadership are top priorities. The Dean leads the campus efforts at planning, human resource development, provision of resources, alliance-building, accreditation and compliance, institutional planning and research, and productivity measurement and improvement. This position is not a corporate officer of any TCS entity. The Dean is expected to be a strong communicator and leader on campus, within the school and in the community.

Principle Duties:
  • Develop and promote long and short range goals for the campus
  • Create and sustain a culture of excellence in educational programs, teaching, research,scholarship and all other functional administrative areas
  • Develop and nurture relationships with state department of education and the Higher Learning Commission.Play a major role in preparing the campus for self-studies, focus visits and comprehensive visits.
  • Responsible for building and growing student enrollment
  • Plan and administer the campus annual budget, manage the revenues of the operation, and control the expenses.Oversee and deliver desired campus financial results, ensuring the campus grows revenues and operating surplus according to approved budgets and long range plans.Also responsible for the management of student receivables, timely cash flow and accurate forecasting of financial results.
  • Access needs for resources on campus and ensure that resources are planned for, acquired, and properly implemented.
  • Responsible for developing a strong team of administrators, faculty and staff including hiring, mentoring, advising, direction and evaluation.

    Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Senior level experience in higher education administration with a strong record of academic leadership and a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated leadership in accreditation processes
  • Very strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Evidence of successful decision making in a collaborative environment

    Position Qualifications:
  • An earned doctorate from an accredited institution preferred
