Position Summary: The UNC Department of Genetics is searching for a PhD or MD research scientist with an interest in hematopoietic stem cell biology, especially the biology of stem cell aging and transformation. The position is for the rank of Assistant Professor and not on the tenure track. The candidate will have demonstrated outstanding research in the area of hematopoietic stem cell biology as evidenced by prominent publications in this field. Priority will be given to candidates with an expertise in stem cell transplantation, stem cell quiescence and/or novel stem cell-based therapeutics. The search is joint with the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center at UNC.
