Position Title Associate Registrar

Working with the University Registrar, the Associate Registrar is responsible for supervision and oversight of all day-to-day office functions as well as maintenance of yearly operations calendar in the Registrar's office.
Reporting to the University Registrar, the Associate Registrar provides strategic & tactical leadership and oversight for department operations and short/long term projects. The Associate Registrar is responsible for overseeing operations related to graduation evaluation, setting yearly caseload goals for evaluators, assisting with evaluation, producing graduation reports, and assisting with all efforts toward graduation.
The Associate Registrar regularly collaborates with various University departments (OIT, the Provost's office, College/School Deans, academic departments, etc., committees, students, faculty, and vendors.)
The Associate Registrar provides leadership in the area of Clearinghouse degree and enrollment files, maintaining yearly calendar and process.
The Associate Registrar assists in training, leadership of office goals, including and not limited to, change management and skills training.
The Associate Registrar participates in curricular development and the development of the new Curriculum Inventory Management (CIM) software from Courseleaf.
The Associate Registrar assists with transfer data entry, credit adjustments, student data maintenance, the running of transcripts, and the creation of job aids for the office staff.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Master's degree and 3-5 years of experience in a College or University Registrar's office with an in-depth understanding of student records administration.
Supervisory experience. Strong leadership skills and the proven ability to manage a large work force (25+)
Experience interpreting federal and state regulations, implementing and enforcing programs and processes to maintain compliance. Experience developing and implementing policies and procedures for a Registrar's office.
Experience as a member of a campus-wide team developing and implementing new processes and policies for the University.
Significant experience using Ellucian Banner and Degreeworks.
Experience in reporting and data analysis and in use of reporting tools such as Cognos and MS office products.
Willingness and ability to proactively learn and quickly adapt to new technologies, business processes, and procedures.
Exceptional reasoning, analytical, and communication skills. Highly collaborative and action-oriented.
Experience with and knowledge of business processes and technology related to graduation evaluation, student data maintenance and registration practices.
Understanding of student records administration. Knowledge of current records, registration, and enrollment policies and processes, and academic policy trends.
Understanding of FERPA and knowledge of privacy and confidentiality rules as they relate to student information.
