Job Summary:

The Holtz Center for Science & Technology Studies seeks a Communications Specialist to work with Holtz Center leadership to manage outreach to its various constituents on campus, and to both academic and lay audiences off campus. The successful candidate will be willing to develop an understanding of the field of Science & Technology Studies and the mission of the Holtz Center and be able to use this information to inform a program of communications using social media, the Center's website, and print media. The Communications Specialist will be in charge of moving our website over to the UW's Wiscweb service using WordPress and then maintaining and improving the site. The Specialist will also be in charge of the Center's presence on various social media outlets, and publicizing its events. Additional assignments based on departmental needs.
