Advertised Salary:

Minimum $35,911 Maximum $45,000 ACADEMIC (9 months)
Depending on Qualifications



Degree and Area of Specialization:

BA, or BS in Theatre with an emphasis in movement and stage combat.
MFA in acting or directing.



Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Minimum of five years of experience as a professional actor or director.
Three years of professional experience in teaching and/or choreographing stage combat or stage violence.
Affiliation with national organization and ability to provide access to certification in stage combat/weaponry preferred.



Position Summary:

The candidate chosen for this position will be responsible for teaching courses in the Acting area: Acting & Movement courses as needed, plus serve as Movement Coach and/or Director for the University Theatre productions, and mentor to students involved in the productions.



Additional Information:

This position may be extended or made renewable depending on funding and department need.
