Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

Director of Operations for Track & Field – reports to Head Coach for Track & Field, responsible for operations as it relates to travel, office administration, facilities scheduling, meet operations, uniforms and player readiness for practice and competition days. Will handle duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Bachelor's degree required.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of collegiate track and field, knowledge of NCAA rules and interpretations, familiarity with SEC and University rules, policies and procedures is preferred. Prefer significant experience with compliance and serving the needs of a diverse population. Prior track and field coaching experience is not required but a plus.


Must have excellent organizational skills and the capacity to interact comfortably with a broad scope of individuals and groups to accomplish internal and external operations of the program. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills, ability to effectively organize and prioritize multiple tasks. Must be able to think quickly, exercise good judgment while using discretion. Must be team-oriented, motivated and have a capacity for hard work.
