Develop simulation models within a 6DOF simulation for UAV simulation and evaluation. Synthesize flight control law designs. Integrate simulation models and flight control laws within new or existing simulation architectures. Perform linear analysis as part of controller and simulation development and evaluation. Design and execute test sets to evaluate simulation and controller performance.
• Design, develop, and execute simulation modules within the Matlab/Simulink environment
• Meet defined requirements for simulation and flight control code characteristics
• Summarize and describe work performed via presentations and reports
B.S. or higher in Aero/Astro, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering. Minimum of 3 years' experience in industry, substantially in control design and/or simulation development. Be fluent in Matlab and Simulink. Experience with Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to support nimble small-team environment. Ability to rapidly master new and complex systems.
Preferred Additional Skills:
C or C++ development experience. Python or Java scripting experience.
