The University of South Carolina invites applications for one full-time instructor in the Department of Philosophy to teach four courses per semester (8 courses for the academic year). This is a nine-month appointment, beginning August 16, 2017 and ending May 15, 2018.Qualifications
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in hand at the time of application.The department strongly prefers candidates with a significant history of successful teaching and with experience teaching courses that incorporate speech and rhetoric into their courses in a substantial way. Experience teaching ethics and especially professional ethics, including especially engineering ethics, is also a significant positive factor.
