Advertised Job Summary
9 month annual appointment, non-tenure track instructor of Production Stage Management/ Arts Management in the Department of Theatre and Dance to begin August 16, 2017. Job responsibilities will include teaching two courses per semester in Arts Management, Stage Management, and/or Producing for Theatre; supervision of a 1 credit hour student theatre laboratory course; the production/company management of four Mainstage productions and the supervision/training of student stage managers.Required Education and Experience
MA or MFA in Theatre or comparable professional management experience is required. Applicants must have experience coordinating Equity/URTA guest artist contracts, proven managerial skills, adeptness working with student/ non-professional design/technical crews, and the ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment.Preferred Qualifications
Desirable candidates will have prior experience in the following: teaching at the undergraduate level, professional production/stage management, developing course curriculum, and arts management/entrepreneurship.
