Job Description:
Responsible for providing technical support to the faculty and staff of the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. The Systems Support Specialist II is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, trouble-shooting, and upgrading of all hardware and software (e.g., phone recording system, check-in system, etc.). This position is also charged with training staff on various applications (e.g., document imaging system) and providing technical back-up in the design, development, testing and implementation of PC, .NET and other custom applications. In addition, this individual is responsible for maintaining and developing the departmental web and related sites, maintaining an inventory of software, hardware and licenses, as well as developing and implementing effectively a plan to address systems compliance, data integrity and systems security.

Job Duties:
The Systems Support Specialist II will need to be knowledgeable of best practices with respect to computer hardware, software and network management as well as work collaboratively with IT staff and other departments to facilitate a systematic and comprehensive approach to ensuring compliance, excellent customer service and business efficiency. This position must keep abreast of all pertinent system changes, take action as necessary to facilitate proactive business operations, possess the ability to assume responsibility, set goals, and estimate effectively target dates for major project deliverables.
