Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's or Associate's degree with strong preference given to graphic design, commercial arts, or similar preferred.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Two years of graphic design or commercial art experience and one year of experience working in the sports and entertainment industry is preferred. Seven or more years of related, professional experience is required for the senor level.

Other qualifications include: Demonstrated experience with professional or NCAA Division I gameday presentation and production, including video and digital display production and presentation; Demonstrated ability to initiate and complete projects independently and within specific and sometimes tight deadlines; Strong computer background with a demonstrated ability to utilize Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and other software at a high level of competence; Demonstrated creativity and effectiveness in creating and developing digital advertising for a wide range of products, events or causes including writing and inclusion of graphic elements; Experience managing sponsor relations and expectations; Experience working with outside vendors including advertising agencies; Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to consistently work an in-season event schedule of odd hours, nights and weekends.

Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing & Promotions, this position will be primarily responsible for the ongoing management and gameday execution of the department's StadiumVision at Camp Randall Stadium and the Kohl Center. The incumbent will perform their work to utilize the Stadium Vision system to promote and communicate internal initiatives while incorporating third-party and sponsor content in collaboration with the department's sponsorship sales unit.

Duties include: Assessing, researching, developing and creating StadiumVision content for athletic and non-athletic events held in Camp Randall Stadium and the Kohl Center. Content includes, but is not limited to upcoming events, concession menus, product promotion, merchandise promotion and public safety- Collaborating with internal departments, including Marketing, Concessions, Merchandising and Event Management to determine content needs; Developing and creating all internal content and messaging in the form of still and animated graphics to support department initiatives in accordance with department visual and graphic standards using Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and other similar production software. Leading and overseeing event day operations for the StadiumVision system- Developing and creating playlists to serve different zones and areas of the facility; Poplulating playlists with internal and external content to effectively communicate and target different segments of the facility; Changing the display of StadiumVision to coincide with different and specific moments during the event; and ensuring proper operation of the system throughout the event onsite or if conditions allow, remotely. Meeting and collaborating with sponsorship sales unit to determine available inventory for sponsors and ensuring sponsorship execution per contractual agreements- Providing sponsorship sales team with information detailing available inventory; Serving as a resource for sponsorship sales team in sale of StadiumVision sponsorship packages, including providing sample content and assisting with onsite sponsor visits; Reviewing and testing al sponsor provided content to ensure effective presentation and delivery; and establishing a calendar and deadline schedule for submitted content.

Leading pre-season and pre-event troubleshooting as well as in-season and off-season maintenance of the StadiumVision system- Conducting pre-season walkthroughs of facilities assessing the readiness of hardware and equipment for operation in conjunction with the department's Technical Services staff; Repairing or replacing or scheduling repair or replacement of any TVs or other StadiumVision hardware, as needed; Conducting pre-event troubleshooting and walk-throughs to ensure proper display of content; and assisting in securing and protecting hardware for the off-season, particularly at Camp Randall Stadium. Providing graphic design services to support videoboard content creation and other video projects produced by the department- Developing still and animated content for videoboards, fascia boards and other auxiliary boards and developing supporting graphics for use on internally produced video content. Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing & Promotions.
