Human Resources Professional
The human resource professional is responsible for performing duties and responsibilities in the following specific human resources functional areas: recruitment/employment, on-boarding, talent management, compensation and classification, and employment law compliance. The duties associated with this role involves interpreting and applying policies and procedures set forth by the collective bargaining agreements, maintaining compliance with federal, state, local employment laws and regulations. The HR professional assists departments with recruiting strategies to develop diverse and qualified applicant pools, selection and hiring processes; provides superior customer service to both applicants and individual units; collects and analyzes information according to stated policies to support recommendations to departments, administrators, faculty, and/or staff; and produces specialized reports.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in a human resources area or related field; six months to one year of related and progressively more responsible and expansive work experience in a human resources area related to the field of employment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Required Application Materials
