Faculty Position in Management (Organizational Behavior)
The Citadel’s Tommy and Victoria Baker School of Business is expanding. We have a new name, innovative new academic programs, and we break ground on a new building Fall 2017. Our growth has created faculty openings for individuals who want to join an established, collegial team dedicated to producing principled leaders in all walks of life.
The Citadel’s Baker School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track position in the area of Management (Organizational Behavior) at the level of Assistant or Associate beginning in August 2018. The candidate will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate level using both traditional and online delivery methods. This is a full-time teaching, research, and service position. Faculty within the Baker School typically teach a 3+3 course load with appropriate research and service expectations.
Applicants must have an earned doctorate from an accredited university with the preparation to teach Organizational Behavior topics (e.g. Principles of Mgmt, Human Resources, Ethics) at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as other business courses. The ability to use or the motivation to learn technologies relevant to online teaching is required. All candidates also should be able to show effective past teaching experience, demonstrated research potential, and appropriate service activities. Advanced ABD candidates will be considered. There is also a potential for teaching additional summer courses. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Relevant experience in industry, the military, or other organizational contexts is preferred, but not required. Online teaching experience is preferred, but not required.
The Citadel’s Baker School of Business provides AACSB-accredited MBA and undergraduate programs in Business. Initial screening of applicants will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. The position is expected to begin in August of 2018.
