Degree and Area of Specialization:
Bachelor's degree required. Degree preferred from one of the following areas: computer science, Engineering or related field.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience providing information technology support is required.
- Experience providing technical support for Microsoft Windows 7 and 10 clients in a Windows Active Directory domain environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server technologies.
- Experience with VMWare virtualization technologies.
- Experience working with a widely used programming language. VB.NET or C# experience is preferred, though experience with other languages will be considered.
- Experience working with a relational database (MySQL or MSSQL).
The Department of Anesthesiology is seeking an IT Support Specialist. This position is responsible for providing technical support for personal computers and application software used by the department, as well as, developing and maintaining custom database driven applications to support department faculty and staff. The incumbent will work as part of a team, communicating with customers, identifying requirements, and delivering technical solutions.
