The Electrical Engineering Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Administrative Specialist III to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:* First Point of contact for the department, receiving and routing phone calls, visitors, and students.* Coordinates and completes all department travel, including arrangements and required documentation.* Responsible for management and maintenance of all departmental filing systems, digital and archiving.* Departmental purchasing needs for office supplies, events, and activities.* Coordination of efforts and assist with yearly inventory of departmental equipment assets.* Assist with administrative support of data basing, correspondence, reports, and event planning of activities for the department.The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices. The successful candidate will possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent and three years of general office or clerical experience. Substitution of education for experience allowed. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:* Basic MS Office skills.* Ability to problem-solve and make decisions.* Ability to effectively communicate.* Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.* Skill in composing routine letters and preparing reports.* Skill in recording and compiling material for reports.
