The Dean of Students Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Student Services Coordinator II to join our team. This position coordinates the university's process for addressing the needs of students who have challenges with health, personal and social issues through providing myriad interventions, referrals and follow-up services. Primary responsibility is to assist with the University mandatory withdrawal process in the DOS and connects with students who have been referred to the CARE Team for assistance to ensure their success at UNT, assists with Seeking Options and Solutions (SOS) Program, and student complaints. Responsibility of tracking and assessment of withdrawals; assists in coordinating UNT Food Pantry. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:* Meets with students during the University mandatory withdrawal process and SOS program as a representative of the Dean of Students office.* Responsible for data gathering of mandatory withdrawal process and assessment.* Establishes and maintains reporting, tracking and monitoring mechanisms on students who manifest behaviors which signal they need on or off campus resources in order to succeed in college and follow up as appropriate.* Manage UNT Food Pantry.* Works with faculty and staff regarding individual students and behaviors which affect the classroom environment.* Works with other Dean of Students staff who have made initial contact with student referred to CARE Team and provided accommodations.* Reconnect with students referred to CARE Team after initial process is over to assist with retention, connect them to appropriate resources and follow up.* Meets with CARE Team, as appropriate.* Assists with student complaints.* Participates in new student/parent, faculty and staff orientation sessions to educate constituents functions and on and off campus resources.* Builds relationships within UNT and community resources to assist students regarding community outreach and assistance.* Develops systems for reporting and maintenance of student cases, and maintains accurate case records and prepares statistical reports as requested.* Develops outreach and publicity to UNT faculty and staff promoting interventions to and for the withdrawal process, CARE Team and Dean of Students office for intervention with student issues..* Will report to the Associate Dean of Students.* Must be able to multi-task.* Manage a large and diverse case load* Establish systems for receiving and tracking cases.* Able to work well with a diverse range of constituents (staff, faculty, students, parents, and off campus providers).* Other duties to be assigned.The University of North Texas System is firmly committed to equal opportunity and does not permit - and takes actions to prevent - discrimination, harassment (including sexual violence), and retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, family status, genetic information, citizenship or veteran status in its application and admission processes, educational programs and activities, facilities, and employment practices. The successful candidate will possess a Master's Degree in related field and two years of student services, student affairs, counseling, advising, or related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
