Nature of Work

This position will work approximately 15 hours per week. The Tutor in the University Writing Center will assist various students (both undergraduate and graduate) from various disciplines across campus with their writing assignments through one-on-one tutorials, and be asked to both evaluate and provide feedback to the written work presented to them; work weekly in the University Writing Center office (located in TLC 1201) and keep the same schedule on a semester-long basis.

 

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree from an accredited university; very strong writing and communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Previous tutoring experience preferred.

 

Salary

Minimum $13.41 - Midpoint $17.85

 

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Ability to sit for long periods of time (especially as tutorials can often be scheduled back-to-back).
