The Kodi Ravichandran laboratory at the University of Virginia Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Cancer Biology seeks a Research Associate to study phagocytes (preferably macrophages as well as other phagocytic types (e.g. in the brain and/or gut)).
The successful candidate must be a recent PhD graduate (less than two years) in a bioscience area, and extensive hands-on experience in analyzing cell death and phagocytosis in vivo. Previous experience with model organisms to analyze phagocytosis will be a plus.
