Position Information: The UC Riverside Career Center is seeking an On-Campus Recruitment / Event Program Coordinator with excellent communication and customer service skills to develop, plan, organize, and coordinate the On-Campus Recruitment Program to our diverse population of employers and students. Comprehensive functions associated with the program include: marketing to employers and students; scheduling interviews; assigning rooms; facilitating day-of-interviews; arranging parking; administration of follow-up surveys; and resolving unexpected issues pertaining to the On-Campus Interview Program.

Additional responsibilities of the incumbent include but are not limited to providing financial, budgeting and accounting support; facilitating departmental purchasing needs; preparing invoices and when needed collection efforts, providing administrative support for departmental events; coordinating entertainment requests, and travel.
Budgeted hiring hourly salary range is: $21.21-$22.71

Minimum Requirements: Minimum of three years of demonstrated experience in prioritizing and organizing tasks, documents and materials in a high volume, fast-paced office. Ability to work in an environment with frequent interruptions requiring the need to re-focus quickly to deal with reactionary priorities.

Skill in communicating well with the general public; identifying the customer's needs and maintaining a commitment to excellent customer service. Skill in communicating effectively and professionally using tact and diplomacy. Ability to interact effectively with department staff, students, employers, as well as campus and outside community.

Demonstrated administrative experience in an office environment with advanced knowledge in data exporting, tracking, preparation of spreadsheets, and documentation of transactional back-up reports by using software programs such Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to quickly learn new customized databases for program administration.

Experience with processing routine financial accounting/purchasing transactions with an online financial system and identifying account variances and differences. Proficiency in payment management processes, deposits, and collections. Skilled in accurate record keeping with strict attention to detail.

Keyboarding skills to quickly and accurately prepare correspondence, job notices and reports. Strong skills in written correspondence to include correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, editing and proofreading skills.

Ability to work effectively as an individual, a team member, and with diverse groups.

Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality at all times; including sensitivity to affirmative action policies as they pertain to employment.

Skill in understanding and interpreting the department's policies and procedures to customers.

Skill in independently researching questions and making appropriate contacts for problem solving.

Hired applicant must successfully pass a background check through the Department of Justice.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with On-Campus Recruiting within a University setting. Working knowledge of Symplicity powered by Nacelink and specifically the module associated with on-campus recruiting.

Prior experience with accounting specific software such as QuickBooks.

Use of project or event management software such as WorkFront.

Use of advanced features in Excel for graphing and charting.

Skill in independently researching questions and making appropriate contacts for problem solving.

Ability to make job decisions following established policies and past practices.
