Clark University’s Office of Human Resources seeks an experienced professional for the position of HRIS Analyst. As an integral member of the Human Resources team the HRIS Analyst will support the maintenance of Clark University’s Human Resource Information System (HRIS), currently Ellucian Banner, and serve as a technical point of contact in the Office of Human Resources. The HRIS Analyst will ensure that data integrity, report writing, data analysis and data entry standards are upheld and support upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned. This position creates/updates employee job records for bi-weekly payroll processing. Other functions include; researching and resolving HRIS problems, investigating unexpected results or process flaws, performing scheduled activities, and recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements more efficiently or effectively. The HRIS Analyst will act as a liaison for Information Technology Services, Payroll, the Dean of the College and the Enterprise Budget Unit, and perform other duties as assigned. This position requires strong analytical, organizational and time management skills and a strong passion and desire to learn. The candidate must have the ability to multitask and meet deadlines, complete scheduled operation in a timely fashion and the ability to adapt to changes. Prior experience working with and contributing to a diverse workplace and the ability to interact, foster and maintain effective working relationships with a broad range of constituents on campus. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree; 3-5 years’ experience with HRIS systems, preferably with Ellucian Banner or a comparable HRIS system; and must be able to prioritize, problem solve, take initiative and maintain discretion and confidentiality of sensitive personnel information. The candidate will have a good understanding of policies, procedures and regulations relevant to human resources operations and will demonstrate sound judgement with the ability to handle a large work volume. Higher education experience is preferred. Technical qualifications include facility in using ad hoc report writing tools, such as Discoverer, Tableau, BI Query, and strong working knowledge of creating databases and spreadsheets and will be well versed in using various computer software programs, including Microsoft Office suite, with an understanding of basic programming, preferably SQL. In addition, the candidate will have exceptional data entry skills with high degree of accuracy. This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, 12-month position with excellent benefits, which include employee and family tuition benefits, 4 weeks’ vacation, generous retirement plan, free use of campus fitness center and many more.
