Schedule: Part-time/20 hours per week

Summary:
Within the Research Institute for Experiential Learning Science at Northeastern University, the Research Assistant performs applied qualitative and quantitative research as well as supportive tasks related to grant-funded investigation into experiential learning. The Research Assistant is expected to contribute in many ways to the research project; typical responsibilities include the following:
  • Conduct literature reviews
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for submission to internal stakeholders, academic conferences, and peer-review publication
  • Maintain accurate records of the research and analysis process
  • Provide ready access to all experimental data for the co-researchers and/or supervisor
  • Manage and respond to project-related email
  • Prepare, maintain, and update online survey and data collection systems
  • Attend project meetings
  • Summarize project results
  • Assist in the preparation of progress reports for the PI and funding agency
    Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

    Qualifications:
  • Enrollment in a doctoral degree program at, or earned doctoral degree from, an accredited institution of higher education
  • Academic and/or work experience in the social sciences, including Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Political Science, Management, or Education
  • Experience with qualitative data management and analysis
  • Experience with quantitative data management and analysis and related software, particularlySPSS
  • Experience with online survey platforms, particularly Qualtrics
