Wheaton College invites applications for a Lab Associate in Physics and Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the physics teaching labs, engineering design lab, and science division machine shop. The lab associate will also teach one or two sections of introductory physics lab each year. A Master’s degree in physics, engineering or a related discipline is required. Demonstrated experience with lab equipment, machine tools, computer-aided technology, and familiarity with fabrication and manufacturing techniques are required. Strong communication and organizing skills are essential. The position is 40 hours per week for 10 months a year (August – May) and 20 hours per week in summer (June – July).
