Summary of Duties:
Under the delegated authority of the Chair of the Department of Human Development and the Director of the Undergraduate Program, the Academic Coordinator will provide advising to prospective current undergraduate students, assist students in selection of appropriate courses, develop degree plans, and monitor progress. This person will also advise, counsel, assist students with necessary certification requirements and ensure that graduation requirements are met.
Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of full-time academic advising experience at a college or university or related education/experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a yearforyear basis.
Accreditations: WSU ACADA Level 1 certification within six (6) months of hire.
