This is a full-time, [40 hours/week] benefits eligible position within the Bouve College of Health Sciences Development Office that will support the Health Sciences Entrepreneurs (HSE) Program and the Bouve Development team. The HSE program began in 2005 and is the mechanism through which alumni, parents and friends are engaged through volunteer activity. The program runs two to three events annually, participates at various entrepreneurial events on/off campus and directs a mentoring program for students, alumni and faculty ventures in the health sciences. This Program Assistant position will provide general administrative support for the development office team to include special projects, gift processing, communications to donors and routine daily tasks.

This individual will have frequent high-level contact with University leadership, including the Dean of Bouve College of Health Sciences, the Dean's Leadership team, high-level donors, as well as donor prospects (such as alumni, parents, prospective applicants and friends of Northeastern). The Program Assistant is expected to meet and exceed expectations of donors, prospects and colleagues and to assist the Principal Gift Officers, Director of Development and other development officers meet their annual goals and the annual goal of University Advancement.


Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Computer and data base skills; Constant Contact, Salesforce experience and an understanding of social media channels preferred. The candidate must possess a strong demonstrated proficiency in Internet research/navigation and Microsoft Office software for office productivity, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with using Access to generate existing reports preferred. Ability to manage, track, and report data with high level of accuracy.
Event experience; organizational skills, attention to detail, and writing experience preferred. Ability to be comfortable and confident in a variety of professional social settings where the audience is alumni, donors and prospects of Bouvé and Northeastern.

The Arnold S. Goldstein Simulation Laboratories Suite opened in September 2013 and provides a state-of-the-art simulation center for interprofessional education.
