Administrative Support III - Dental Hygiene

Position Category: Staff - Full-Time

This position fulfills a key role in providing clerical and administrative support to the Department Chair and immediate staff. Additionally, the position provides support to the Dental Clinic faculty and staff. The position helps with the ordering, finance, and interacts with the public.

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s related to the Summary of Duties or any combination of education and/or experience totaling four years.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of best practices in events, marketing communications, correspondence, and appropriate matters of etiquette in various settings or vehicles.
  • Skills in office methods, techniques, practices, and procedures.
  • Skills in the use of computers and computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, email, the internet, databases, and presentations.
  • Skills in the preparation and interpretation of reports, charts, graphs, and tables.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional skills in customer service orientation and phone etiquette.
  • Skills in communicating both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to plan and anticipate potential changes and act accordingly.
  • Ability to enact strategic changes affecting multiple stakeholders, including high-level university leadership.
  • Ability to work weekends on occasion as necessary, including evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to meet and work with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to demonstrate professional demeanor and poise.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to perform a variety of administrative support duties with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to follow oral and written procedures and instructions.

Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.

Pay Range: $25,665 to $32,082
