Position Summary: The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of North Carolina is recruiting for a Ph.D. and/or M.D. with expertise in chemistry, biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, genetics or related discipline required. This is a rewarding opportunity for a non-tenure track Research Assistant Professor to study retinal disorders using nanotechnology at our world-renowned institution at the University of North Carolina. Areas of interest within the ocular gene and drug delivery include, but are not limited to, the following: nanomaterials synthesis and characterization, chemistry, genetics/human genetics, cellular/molecular biology/biochemistry, and animal handling and surgery.
Education Requirements: Ph.D. and/or M.D. with expertise in chemistry, biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, genetics or related discipline required.
Qualification and Experience: Candidates applying multidisciplinary approaches to study retinal disorders with at least 3 years postdoctoral research experience preferred.
