Responsibilities & Requirements: The Department of Civil Engineering at Stony Brook University invites applicant for a non-tenure track faculty position in civil engineering, in the area structural or geotehnical engineering. Responsibilities for the position include teaching both undergraduate and graduate level courses, advising students, and participating on department and/or university committees. The successful candidate must have an earned doctorate in Civil Engineering or a closely related field and a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching. A professional engineer's license, or the potential to obtain one, is preferred.
Special Notes: This is a non-tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: August 2017. Resumes will be accepted until position is filled.
