Required Qualifications: MD or equivalent. Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Board Certified/Eligible in Rheumatology with leadership experience managing a Rheumatology fellowship program or residency program.


Preferred Qualifications: Concentrated focus on clinical, basic and/or translational research.



Responsibilities & Requirements: Seeking a Rheumatologist, Fellowship Program Director, for our two-year accredited clinical program. This program provides both inpatient and outpatient clinical services at Stony Brook University Medical Center and the VA medical center in Northport. The Program Director will oversee the Rheumatology fellowship training by developing and implementing educational programs including lecture series, didactic teaching for ambulatory care and consultative service, rotations to other departments within SBUH and fostering clinical, translational and basic research projects and independent studies. Special Notes: This is a non-tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: October 1, 2017.
