Under general supervision, the incumbent will provide administrative program support to the faculty and staff in the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The medical program assistant will provide the support necessary to assist in achieving successful performance of clinical patient care, teaching, research service, outreach and other activities. This position provides clinical support in the coordination of outpatient and inpatient provider services. This position also provides administrative back-up support to both the Administrative Assistant/Fellowship Coordinator.
This position will coordinate complex daily activities for the physicians in all areas, clinical, medical teaching, and clinical research. The incumbent is expected to communicate effectively and confidentially with patients, referring physicians, residents, fellows and program leaders. This position requires a person who can function independently with general supervision as well as with a team to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency of the program.
The candidate must have excellent organizational, oral and written communications skills, ability to multi-task, knowledge for the complex procedures and regulations regarding patient confidentiality, University policy and procedures as well as the ability to exercise good judgment.
Monday - Friday; 7:45 am to 4:30 pm
