Job Summary:

The incumbent independently provides administrative program support to multiple faculty and The incumbent independently provides administrative program support to multiple faculty and staff in the Gynecologic Oncology Division of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, which may include support for the Division Director and Vice-Chair of Clinical Research.

The medical program assistant provides the support necessary to assist in achieving successful performance of clinical patient care, teaching, research service, outreach, and other activities. This position provides administrative and clinical support in the coordination of outpatient and inpatient surgeries, new patient appointments and may provide executive level support to the Director of the Gynecologic Oncology Division and the Vice Chair of Clinical Research for the Department. This position coordinates complex daily activities for the physicians in all areas: clinical, medical teaching and clinical research.

The incumbent is expected to communicate effectively and confidentially with patients, physicians from other clinics and departments, residents, fellows, and program leaders. This individual functions independently with limited supervision. This individual will possess excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills, ability to multi-task, knowledge of the complex procedures and regulations regarding patient confidentiality, University policy and procedures as well as the ability to exercise good judgment.

The position functions under limited supervision and reports to the Program Assistant Supervisor.
