We are currently seeking a Veteran Outreach Specialist who will advance the institution's proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service.

SUMMARY

The Program Coordinator provides administrative oversight for the outreach, implementation, and management functions for assigned program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  1. Assist with planning, organizing, developing and facilitating assigned programs and events;
  2. Assist with the formation of partnerships with business, industry, community agencies, state and federal agencies to meet the needs of the assigned program;
  3. Enhance exposure to skilled workforce employment opportunities;
  4. Gathers and maintains data for and assists in preparing reports, often using a variety of computer software; prepare statistics and reports on program participation, marketing responses, budget, and evaluations;
  5. Keeps current on trends, compliance issues, regulations and guidelines regarding subject matter; advises supervisor accordingly; and
  6. Monitors progress of all community partners, prepares reports and evaluations of activities as required.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Education, or related field required. Master's preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of three (3) years successful experience in student retention, training, teaching, project management, program development and implementation, program sustainment, preferably in a related position within an institution of higher education.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  1. Methods and techniques of program marketing and publicity;
  2. Methods and techniques of program development and evaluation;
  3. Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population;
  4. Excellent organizational and communication skills required;
  5. Demonstrated proficiency with computers, including: Word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software;
  6. Strong organizational skills and project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization; and
  7. Ability to build strong and positive working relationships that promote program enhancements.
