The ISC Department and JAM provide technology-intensive instruction, research and service. This position will provide direct support to faculty, students, staff and outside constituents of the two units and the college. Responsibilities include providing information technology, information science and audio visual support for the faculty and staff of the Department of Integrated Strategic Communication and the School of Journalism and Mass Media; providing support for data-driven information gathering and storage for ISC and JAM electronic records and services; managing and upgrading ISC and JAM web page infrastructure to meet college and university standards; and working under the direction of the ISC Chair and JAM Director to coordinate meeting patterns and room requests pertaining to course scheduling, and entering data in SIS/SAP to build and maintain the units' course schedule.

Physical Requirements

Sitting for long periods of time; and lifting/pushing up to 25 lbs.


Monday - Friday; 8:30;am - 5:00;pm (37.5 hours/week).

Preferred Education/Experience

Bachelor's Degree and experience in some of the following areas is preferred:
• Desktop hardware/software support (Window and Mac OS)
• Databases – experience with any of the following: MS Access, MySQL, FileMaker Pro
• Website management – experience with a web content management system (Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla, etc.)
• Audio/Video production – experience with some digital media editing software (Final Cut Premier, Audacity, ProTools, etc.)
• Graphic design – experience with Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent
• Learning Management –exposure to some of the following: Canvas, Echo 360, SONA
