The Education Department at Curry College invites applications for part-time faculty to teach at the Associate Lecturer level in the Masters in Education program. Our graduate program has two concentrations: Elementary Education and Special Education, moderate disabilities. The position will provide instruction in Elementary Education and other areas within teacher education, based on qualifications.  The successful candidate will have experience with teaching in the K-8 classroom, school district administration, and/or the training of teachers and supervision of teachers.  Teaching expertise in educational fields is required. Graduate courses are 8 weeks in length and offered in a hybrid format, generally with five in-class sessions and three online sessions.  Blackboard is the course management system.  The courses are typically scheduled in the evenings from 5:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Master’s Degree in Education or related field 
  • At least five years’ experience as a teacher, trainer of teachers, or school district administrator with working knowledge of research-based practices 
  • Experience in teaching in face-to-face and online formats

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Education with teaching experience at the college level
  • A current teaching or administrator license
