The Graduate Affairs Data Administrator will support the operations of the Graduate Medical Sciences' office under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Graduate Affairs and play an integral role in the admissions and recruitment workflow as part of the centralized system implementation. The incumbent will evaluate and revise admissions and enrollment procedures; accurately maintain new student records, uphold professional communication with prospective applicants, current students, staff and faculty as it relates to the Division, provide technical support and training of graduate faculty and staff on policies, procedures and software and support prospect-generating activities not limited to webinars, graduate fairs, information sessions and inquiry responses; by phone, email and in person. The Graduate Affairs Data Administrator will also maintain application credentials submitted offline as well as plan and execute large-scale GMS events including commencement and orientation. Must be able to assist a diverse community of students, faculty and staff with a willingness to take on many responsibilities around program enrollment. Must be organized and be able to handle sensitive, confidential documents in a professional manner. Will also schedule and manage recruitment and admissions updates on both the website and application system.

1-3 years of experience and Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.


Must have professional work ethic; be willing and able to perform multiple tasks that require considerable judgment, tact and understanding of the organization’s procedures, especially on confidential matters; must be proactive, willing to learn and adapt to office environment. Familiarity with the BUMC/ BU environment is desired, as well as good time management skills, organization, accuracy and attention to detail, especially in preparing and verifying important documents.


Skill requirements: Must be proficient in Microsoft office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word Press, as well as experience working with: HTML, complex software such as CAS, Qualtrics, Blackboard Learn, Adobe Connect and CRM. General knowledge in statistical software and analysis such as SAS, SPSS or JMP are highly desired. Data management experience necessary with analytical skills in areas of reporting, maintaining custom lists and providing accurate information. Excellent writing and editing skills, as well as good interpersonal skills are important. Dependability is expected, as well as flexibility during events. Must demonstrate excellent customer service and be able to adjust to individual needs of both the students, staff and faculty.
