Physician – Hematology / Oncology
West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Section of Hematology/Oncology and the WVU Cancer Institute, are actively recruiting an academic Hematologist/Oncologist. Opportunities exist to participate in clinical and translational research. Development of disease focused clinical and translational research within the solid tumor or sarcoma and melanoma is also encouraged, and start-up support is available through the Cancer Institute and the West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute for qualified applicants.
Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited internal medicine residency and hematology/oncology or oncology fellowship and be board certified/eligible in oncology at the time of appointment. Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with credentials. Responsibilities will include providing excellent patient care as well as teaching medical students, internal medicine residents and hem/onc fellows.
