Part-Time Records Coordinator - Intermediate (Partial Benefits)

Nature of Work

This is a regular, part-time, partially benefited 12-month position (max. 29 hours per week and 777 hours per 12 month period).

Works collaboratively with faculty and staff to plan, support, and execute Records and Information Management (RIM) projects. This includes reviewing student and employee records, interpreting and classifying records using the USG/BOR Records Retention Manual and UWG policies/procedures governing archives and inter-departmental records transfers, engaging in effective communication and proactive problem-solving. Work will include data entry, document scanning, verifying, coding, and indexing information to ensure accuracy and completeness. Identifies and corrects errors. Acts as a RIMresource person by promoting and explaining RIM services, policies and procedures to units. Produces and updates documentation such as reports and lists of RIM projects. Uses equipment such as a personal computer, fax machine, photocopier, scanner, and other standard office equipment. Perform other duties assigned to advance RIM projects and implement procedures.

Be able to read, classify, and interpret academic and institutional policies as well as USG records retention manual.

This position may assist in the day to day operations of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment, as needed.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required, and 4 years experience in a higher education office/administrative setting.

Strong customer service skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient with and able to display demonstrated competency with multiple computer applications including MS Word, EXCEL, email, and web browsers.Deadline oriented. The ability to anticipate and communicate needs, interpret policy/procedures, and provide information to the general public.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree. Two years in a higher education office/administrative setting.
