Dartmouth College invites applications and nominations for the role of Advancement Associate for the Office of the Senior Vice President for Advancement. Our Advancement Associate will manage critical office functions, oversee a variety of special projects, and provide administrative support to the Assistant Vice President. A critical role on our team, this position requires considerable discretion, judgment, and confidentiality in the team effort of supporting the Senior Vice President for Advancement to achieve institutional priorities. In support of our Assistant Vice President, our hire will provide complex calendar management, meeting preparation support, and travel coordination. Office management will include project support, financial transactions, and support of day-to-day office details. Coordination of written and oral communications and serving as a liaison with a wide range of administrators, faculty, staff, alumni, and others will require a high level of professionalism and maturity. Our Associate will also provide support related to the President's Leadership Council and the Advancement Committee of the Board of Trustees, including coordinating meeting details, agendas, and supporting materials.

Our successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with at least five years of experience in a fast-paced academic or corporate environment. Demonstrated success in working with senior leadership and sophisticated clients or donors is crucial. Strong organizational skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and respond quickly and positively to changes will be key. Our Associate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, a critical eye for detail, and a comfort level with technology and complex systems. Your professionalism, collegial manner, resourceful problem solving skills, flexibility, and reliability will be important factors in your success in this role.
