The Department of Health Policy and Management in the Milken Institute School of Public Health at the George Washington University is seeking applicants for a regular non-tenure-accruing faculty position in the area of health policy and management (12-month appointment).

The department welcomes a broad research agenda that may encompass multi-disciplinary research, collaboration with health sector practitioners, and legal research. Additionally, collaboration opportunities with the George Washington University's School of Law, Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration, the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, and the School of Nursing are encouraged.
The Department offers a number of degrees, including an MPH in health policy, MS in health services research, a Master in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Master in Health Informatics and Analytics, and doctoral programs including a DrPH in health policy and a PhD program in public policy with a concentration in health policy. Department faculty are engaged in a wide variety of externally funded research projects focusing on social determinants of health, health system reform, health care financing and pricing, health management, healthcare quality, population health, healthcare access and disparities, health equity, and health workforce issues.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will teach in the Department's academic programs; mentor and advise master's degree and doctoral students; engage in a research agenda; and pursue external funding. All department courses include an emphasis on population health and health equity.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must have a terminal degree (such as PhD, DrPH, JD, MD) in public health or an allied field such as public policy, law, social sciences, management or health services research by the date of appointment. Applicants must be able to teach courses in health policy and/or health management and must demonstrate the ability to secure and conduct externally-funded research.
