The Residence Coordinator is a full-time, live-in professional staff member responsible for the administration and management of an engaging, community-oriented environment housing a diverse population of 300-700 students. Specific responsibilities may include: supervision, selection, training and evaluation of a graduate assistant and undergraduate student staff; providing leadership for developmental programming; advising student groups; coordinating residential aspect of living-learning communities; serving as a conduct officer; working collaboratively with assignments and facilities staff; and coordinating projects for the residence hall system such as staff selection, staff training, large event planning or publications.
A Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Personnel, Counseling or related field and full-time or graduate residence life experience required.
This job opening is a pool for Residence Coordinators. Current vacancies and anticipated vacancies will be hired from this pool. If a Residence Coordinator position becomes vacant, applicants in the pool may be contacted if credentials meet the qualifications and requirements of the position as stated in this vacancy announcement.
Interviews will also be conducted on site at The Placement Exchange in San Antonio, Texas.
Anticipated Salary Range
$47,658 plus a furnished apartment for the 12-month employment period; and a comprehensive benefits package. Non-rent paying roommates are permitted, as are some pets. This is a FLSA exempt position.
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
Soft Money Funded Position
This is a soft money funded position, with renewal based on available funds and the needs of the University.
Criminal Background Check
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
