Job Description

We are searching for individuals to fill twelve month Clinical Instructor positions with the Family Access Center for Excellence (FACE) of Boone County, Missouri. FACE is a newly funded, direct community service center jointly supported by the Boone County, MO Department of Social Services and the University of Missouri's Department of Educational, School and Counseling Psychology, the Missouri Prevention Center, the Department of Psychological Sciences, and the School of Social Work. FACE is an innovative approach to coordinating and improving the mental and physical health, well-being, and safety of children and families in Boone County, MO in a manner that is transparent and promotes client/family direct involvement and choice in the development and implementation of treatment plans.
Responsibilities:
(1) Implement evidence based assessment and brief interventions
(2) Coordinate referrals and linkages to other agencies.
(3) Provide intensive case management services to oversee the follow through and implementation of service plans (i.e., execution of referrals, reducing barriers to service acquisition of psychiatry services, etc.)
(4) Support prevention activities and training in the community.
(5) Support clinical practicum placement, training, and supervision of graduate students.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
•Masters level, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology, Social Work, Clinical Psychology or related field
•Experience working in community settings, implementing evidence-based assessment and interventions, and coordinating clinical services for youth

Candidates will be evaluated on the following factors:
•Ability to implement evidence-based assessment and intervention, and coordinate clinical services
•Ability to communicate across multiple disciplines
•Communication, organizational, and management skills
•Ability to provide clinical supervision to graduate students
•Ability to provide service to the program, department, college, and the profession
•Certification or Licensure in specialization area

About the College of Education: The College of Education (COE) is ranked among the top doctoral granting colleges of education in the country. About the Department of Psychological Sciences: MU Psychological Sciences is ranked among the top PhD programs in the country with offerings in Clinical, Developmental, Social/Personality, Cognition/Neuroscience, and Quantitative Psychology. The program in clinical psychology is a member of the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science, an alliance of leading, scientifically oriented, doctoral and internship training programs in clinical and health psychology in the United States and Canada. It has been continuously accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of APA since 1958 and is one of just 29 programs achieving accreditation by the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS). The Department is administratively housed within the College of Arts and Sciences.

Salary

Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
