Job Description Summary:

ADD department information....The position reports to the Department Chair of Special Education and Disability Studies. This position does not have direct reports but may schedule, train and supervise temporary staff or student workers. (Or - list any positons that are direct reports.)
The primary focus for this position is to support faculty around recruitment efforts, guiding students through orientation, academic coursework selection, monitoring student progress. The individual interacts and meets with GW faculty, staff, students, and external clients to identify the focus and scope of events and to determine facility needs.
Assists and supports faculty with recruitment efforts, ensuring logistics for future, new and current students are smooth. This entails guiding students through the orientation process, assisting with coursework selections.
Monitor progress of students during the course of program. Responds to inquiries regarding class schedule, and location of classes.
Confer with program managers and faculty to determine training needs as to type, extent and scope, schedules, and procedures.
Prepares and distributes training aids such as instructional materials, handouts, evaluation forms, and visual aids. Instructional materials could be equipment, books, or copying articles.
Acts as liaison for participants, faculty, university, clients and other stakeholders.
Schedules the appropriate classroom and prepares the physical set up. Ensures audiovisual equipment is available and is in working order.
Administers program evaluations, analyzes and summarizes data, and prepares reports. Recommends modifications to training based on observation, evaluations and reports.
Track expenses and coordinates with the faculty program lead to ensure budget is not compromised.
Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED plus 1.5 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Additional Required Licenses/Certifications/Posting Specific Minimum Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:
Highly detailed with strong organizational skills, self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Enjoys working as part of a team as well as independently to achieve program goals and objectives.
Able to interact effectively with a diverse population at all levels, facilitate decision making and conflict resolution, maintain a positive and constructive demeanor treating all staff, students, and faculty with professionalism, courtesy and respect.
Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
Experience working within a higher education professional training environment preferred but not required.
Experience in project management preferred but not required.
Experience working with students, faculty, and staff in providing customer service.
Experience in monitoring budgets.
Strong writer and persuasive communicator with excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
Excellent computer skills (Excel and Word) as well as navigating various database systems.
