The Ithaca College School of Music announces full-time 1-year non-renewable positions for a teacher-performer of voice beginning Fall 2017. The primary teaching duties will be studio teaching of voice majors and musical theater majors, as well as repertory class for voice. Other duties may include an array of courses within the dynamic vocal area such as vocal pedagogy, song literature, and improvisation. Expertise in other areas and genres such as-but not limited to-jazz, contemporary commercial music and creative arts courses should be noted. It is expected the candidate will be an active performer and remain active in the professional field while teaching in the college environment.
Master's degree and three years college level teaching experience beyond the graduate assistantship level is required.
