Required Qualifications: (As Evidenced by an Attached Resume)
Associate's degree. One (1) year of full time experience in a laboratory. Familiarity with general analytical techniques used in sample preparation: pipetting, measuring volumes, weighting and centrifugation. Must be detail-oriented with capability of following written SOP's and have experience with Excel. Training will be provided.
Additional knowledge of basic laboratory techniques: pipetting, volume and weight measurements, centrifugation. Knowledge of basic laboratory terminology and equipment. Ability to handle and process samples: cells, tissue homogenates, whole blood, plasma. Ability to keep records and manage computer database using Excel and other related programs. Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
Brief Description of Duties:
- Sample extraction.
- Basic laboratory techniques.
- Drying sample extracts.
- Other general lab duties.
- Other duties As assigned.
Special Notes: FLSA Nonexempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
