Adjunct Assistant Professor, Practical Nursing
Teach a maximum of 200 contact hours/semester of Lecture, Lab, Clinical, and/or Simulation Instruction for Practical Nursing students which may include Medical-Surgical Nursing, Maternal-Child Nursing, and/or Physical Assessment. May teach day and/or evening students to meet program needs. The ideal candidate is one who:
- Has demonstrated strong nursing clinical and assessment skills
- Is comfortable with technology
- Works well in collaboration with others
- Is committed to the mission of a community college
- Is familiar with the scope of practice of an LPN
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kansas or have the qualifications to obtain licensure in Kansas as a Registered Nurse.
- Strong background in medical/surgical, maternal child, or psychiatric nursing required.
- Master of Nursing
- Has demonstrated teaching skills
- 1 - 2 years medical/surgical nursing required.
- 2 - 4 years maternal-child experience.
