The position of Electronic Resources Library Manager oversees the unit responsible for managing licenses, electronic resource access and tracking usage as well as providing support for users. The Electronic Resources Library Manager and their unit are involved in all aspects of electronic resources from trials, activation, maintenance, assessments, renewals, access and cancellations. They regularly collaborate with other librarians to disseminate information about these resources and promote their use. As part of the Acquisitions Department, they work with others in the department to ensure that electronic resources invoices are handled promptly and that all pertinent documentation is sent forward to the Business Office.

Physical Requirements

This position requires sitting in front of a computer for extended periods of time. May require handling of light weight objects up to 10 pounds.

Monday - Friday; 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.



Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office suite in particular Excel. Knowledge of databases, queries report building. Basic requirements for this position supervisory experience and license negotiations.

Preferred Education/Experience

Background in an academic library. Experience with electronic resource licenses, troubleshooting or managing electronic resources for a library or organization, knowledge of acquisitions processes.
