Nature of Work The primary responsibility of this position is to review undergraduate level student records in preparation for graduation. This includes reviewing coursework and other non-course requirements, interpreting and explaining to students and faculty the policies and procedures governing degree requirements for undergraduate degree candidates, communicating graduation information to students, faculty and staff, awarding or deferring the degree, proactive problem-solving and assisting with preparing for Commencement and working at each ceremony.
Bachelors degree required. One year of higher education experience; preferably in a student services environment. Consistently displays accuracy and attention to detail; The ability to be helpful, respectful, approachable and team oriented to build strong working relationships and a positive work environment; Strong customer service skills; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; The ability to demonstrate logic, rationality, objectivity and to use all available information to make educated decisions. Display demonstrated competency with multiple computer applications including MS Word, PowerPoint, EXCEL, email, Student Information systems (Banner, Datatel, etc) and web browsers. Candidate should have the ability to anticipate the needs of students and update or establish common office processes, interpret academic policy and provide information to students, faculty, staff and the general public. Must be comfortable conducting public presentations. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Salary $15.87 minimum - $22.38 midpoint
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Ability to sit and work at a computer for long periods of time. Work outside of normal scheduled hours
