General Summary of Position:
The Project Coordinator will coordinate key initiatives in the Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation office including the annual faculty and student symposiums, Enlightened Bites information series and the processing of Research Assistant Contracts for the University.

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for collecting data and organizing information needed for research report including faculty publications, journal articles, conference proceedings, book authorship, research expenditures, etc. The Coordinator will also solicit and organize faculty and student presentations, manage software systems related to these events (Digital Measures and the UML Research website) and collaborate with faculty, students, Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation Executive teams, Provost's office and other key personnel needed to meet symposium and workshop series goals.

The Coordinator will also manage and process Research Assistant contracts for the university by assuring that research funds are available for these appointments by using PeopleSoft and Summit to see project dates and budget, working with payroll, ORA, Grants and Contracts and Provost's offices to assure timely payment and processing of contracts, compilation of transfer reports for movement of funds to appropriate university accounts, generation of RA tuition contributions, correct all revisions when funds used for payment are changed and provide data analysis report for the Vice Chancellor, Provost and other offices as needed.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
-Bachelor's Degree
-Five years working in an administrative capacity, preferably in a University setting
-Familiarity with sponsored grant projects
-Must have proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
-The ability to work effectively with diverse groups
-Must have the ability to plan and organize with exceptional attention to detail
-Must be a self-motivated individual with problem solving skills

Other Considerations:
-Demonstrated experience with PeopleSoft, Summit
-Experience with data analysis, record keeping and some business management
-Flexibility and eagerness to learn new things
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Must be able to work with faculty and staff from different departments
-Ability to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
-Capability to communicate professionally with a broad range of external and internal people
-Ability to work on multiple, diverse tasks and to troubleshoot and solve 'customer problems' in a timely manner
-Requires discretion in handling confidential information.
